random electronic music

Electronic music ranks among my favorite, in and of itself as a genre towards incorperating in a hybrid crossover to another form of expressing oneself.

I decided to pull all my electronic vinyl from the ranks, and file it alphabetically, as a seperate group.  Also nabbed some CDs from down in the basement, altogether with interesting results.  Here's my list.

CDs:

David Bowie:

1.Outside
2.Low

Ozric Tentacles:

3.Strangeituide

Brian Eno:

4.Harmonia 76: Tracks & Traces
5.w/Moebius and Roedelius: After The Heat

6.Nerve Net
7.Fractal Zoom [maxi single]
8.Drawn From Life [w/J.Peter Schwalm]
9.Compound Elements [an intro to All Saints Records]
10.Another Day On Earth

Soundtracks:
11.Escape From New York:  John Carpenter

New Order:

12.(the best of)

Orgy:

13.Candyass

Korn:

14.Kreamed [live plus 2 Dust Bros remixes]
15.Good God #1
16.Good God [French Remixes]
17.A.D.I.D.A.S. [Single]
18.Freak On A Leash [Freakin' Bitch Mix]
19.Freak On A Leash [Dante Ross Mix]
20.Got The Life [I Can Remember]
21.Got The Life [DJ Punk-Roc Remix]
22.Here To Stay [Mindless Self Indulgence Remix]
23.Did My Time [The Greyedout Mix/One Live]
24.The Path Of Totality

Videodrone:

25.self-titled

Okay, so that's a couple dozen CDs I pulled up from the basement, ten of them are those old korn remixes which came out concurrently with their albums.  I've got a ton of other Eno and Bowie albums on CD as well somewhere, which I can think of three that stand out as needing to be included above:

26.Heroes
27.Lodger, and the drum and bass dubstep album
28.Earthling.

Yeah, I should throw in the skinny puppy and kraftwerk albums, as well as my velvet acid christ and mogwai rave tapes and remix albums.  When you're looking at a pile of original vinyl featuring Gorillaz [Demon Days] and Future Islands [In Evening Air, Seasons 7"] and including Laurie Anderson, Tangerine Dream and Nine Inch Nails, you know the history of electronic music has yielded plenty of interesting artists, right on up through John Carpenter and Goblin to Xander Harris and Zombi,  today.

I couldn't find my Oghr CDs, but they're down there, in the basement.  Then I put together a pile of electronica vinyl:
